Last year at the beach, Erica's sandals caught my eye. They were Sanuks. I really liked them and wanted a pair for myself. We went to a surf shop on the beach, and they were super expensive. I looked online when I got home and found that they were the same price. I really haven't thought about them much until about two weeks ago when we found out we were going on a cruise, and Jen bought a pair. So I looked more online. I was about to pay $45 when I decided to search one more time. Then I found them! The exact pair I wanted for $15! I was so excited! I ordered them online and got them in the mail, and I am ready for some sunshine!

Welcoming the Year 2011
It took a few times before we could get a picture with both of us and the special drink in the paper bag.
We watched SALT and ate a yummy chicken fried dinner with sparkling peach cider. We went to bed around 9:00. What it all comes down to is that we are "old."

I am excited to start a new year with Steve! There was so many great things that we did in 2010, and there will be many adventures waiting for us in 2011!
Happy New Year!

Christmas where the SUN shines in the VALLEY
Mom and Dad rented a cabin in Sun Valley, ID for our family gathering this year. It was lots of fun to go somewhere so close to many activities. We played a lot and enjoyed eachother's company. Everyone was there, except for the Israelsens, due to some bad weather, and we sure did miss them.
Steve and I made it up there Tuesday night, right in time for bed. Wednesday, Neener made a How the Grinch Stole Christmas Breakfast, and Steve and I headed for the mountain. This mountain was made for Steve; he loved it! I, on the other hand, prefer the easy slopes. I had a hard time keeping up because I didn't want to crash. After lunch, I stayed at the cabin while Steve went snowboarding. At the cabin, Mom, Janeen, and I watched "White Christmas", made sugar cookies, and played in the snow. After everyone gathered together, we all sat in the hot tub, ate dinner, played Sharades, and watched home videos.
Thursday morning, Steve made biscuts and gravy for everyone and they turned out delicious. The men went out on the mountain, while Mom, Janeen, and I went tubing and skiing at the little kid hill. That night we sat in the hot tub some more and watched more movies.
Friday, we lounged around until after lunch. Once again, Dad and Steve went up to the mountain. Mom, Janelle, Zoey, Janeen, and I took a little stroll around Sun Valley. Then we spent the rest of the afternoon preparing our Christmas dinner feast. Once our tummies were full, we acted out the Nativity. Steve and I were two of the Wise Men. Then PJ Elf left us some cute matching pajamas and we watched "The Christmas Story."
We all woke up to full stockings. After all the presents were opened, we all cleaned up and headed home. Once Steve and I were home, we opened the rest of our presents.
Christmas was so wonderful this year. I loved being with my family, but I missed my other family, too. We had good memories and and lots of fun! Thanks, Mom and Dad, for making Christmas magical!
